Care for injured DoD civilian employees
Northeast Florida and South Georgia have one of the largest concentrations of Department of Defense civilian employees in the Southeast, including at NAS Jacksonville, Fleet Readiness Center Southeast, Naval Station Mayport and Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay.
If you are a civilian employee injured on the job, your care falls under FECA and OWCP. Injury Federal Clinic is on Jacksonville's Westside and treats DoD civilians from across the region.
Common injuries among DoD civilians
- Back, shoulder and knee injuries from maintenance, warehouse and industrial work
- Repetitive strain from tools, assembly and inspection tasks
- Slips, trips and falls on flight lines, docks and shop floors
- Neck and back strain from office and administrative work
Civilian employees, not service members
This page is for federal civilian employees. Active-duty service members are covered by military health care rather than OWCP.
Report a work injury to your supervisor and your installation's injury compensation office, file the right CA form, and choose your treating physician.

Common questions
I'm a contractor on base. Is this for me?
Federal contractors are usually covered by their employer's state workers' compensation or the Longshore Act, not FECA. Call us and we'll help you figure out where your claim belongs.
Do you treat employees from Kings Bay and Mayport?
Yes. We treat federal employees from across Northeast Florida and South Georgia, and we're open Saturday mornings.
